Collection of newspaper cuttings

The collection of newspaper cuttings was started in 1980 after more and more newspaper cuttings from the Academy's press department found their way into the archive. In the course of the liquidation of the Academy of Sciences (AdW) of the GDR, further newspaper cuttings were taken over by the archive. The newspaper cuttings on the development and activities of the Academy, its members, institutes and institutions complement the official and heritage documents on the history of the AdW of the GDR. The collection comprises approx. 40,000 newspaper cuttings and can be accessed online.
