The archive and the collections of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities are among the oldest and most comprehensive of the academy archives in the world, with archival sources that have been handed down since the last decade of the 17th century.

This list based on older works by Erik Amburger (Die Mitglieder der Deutschen Akademie der Wissenschaften zu Berlin 1700-1950) and Werner Hartkopf (Die Berliner Akademie der Wissenschaften. Ihre Mitglieder und Preisträger 1700-1990). The information reported there was taken over and then corrected and expanded on the basis of archival sources in the archive of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities.
Current Members
The Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities was reconstituted on the basis of the interstate treaty between Berlin and Brandenburg in August 1992. The Academy is a learned society with a three-hundred-year-old tradition of uniting outstanding scholars and scientists across national and disciplinary boundaries.
